Project Details
The Windsor Hybrid Kit Home is a custom residence constructed in Windsor, New Brunswick, as part of an interprovincial relocation. The homeowners purchased a pre-designed home package while living in Ontario and engaged Moose Mountain Construction to serve as their local contractor and construction partner once they relocated to New Brunswick.
Moose Mountain Construction worked closely with the homeowners and the material supplier to coordinate construction locally, while navigating New Brunswick permitting requirements, site conditions, and regional construction practices. Our team became involved early in the process, walking the site while it was still an undeveloped field, helping identify appropriate earth-moving and site service trades, and supporting the homeowners as they transitioned into a new province and building environment.
As construction progressed, the project required careful coordination, interpretation of plans, and practical on-site problem solving to keep the build moving efficiently. Moose Mountain Construction took a proactive role in addressing design clarifications, sequencing challenges, and material coordination as they arose, ensuring progress continued without unnecessary delays.
Moose Mountain Construction was responsible for constructing the home’s structure, exterior cladding, interior build-out, and mechanical systems. Interior finish work was completed by the homeowners, making this a true hybrid build that balanced professional construction execution with hands-on owner involvement.
The finished home reflects a highly collaborative process — delivering a durable, efficient residence while supporting relocating homeowners through the complexities of an owner-assisted, interprovincial build.
